Champagne Fleur de Miraval Petite Fleur Brut Rosé NV
Côte des Blancs, Champagne, FranceThomas Perrin recently served this wine in Vancouver. The Miraval connection dates back to the Perrin family's partnership with Brad Pitt and his estranged wife Angelina Jolie, once partners in the Miraval Rosé venture. Following on from the success of its Exclusively Rosé limited editions, Petite Fleur involves Rodolphe Péters (Champagne Pierre Péters), Brad Pitt, and the Perrin family. From a 2019 base, the 95% chardonnay, 5% pinot noir carries 30% perpetual reserve chardonnay, all from the famed Côtes de Blancs. The colour is pale, pale peach. The attack is soft and generous with a mix of bright red fruits, both dry and candied. The reserve wine adds some gravitas to the mid-palate with sweet baked apple in the finish. More Miraval than Péters in style, it is an attractive bubble for celebratory Champagne drinkers.Tasted: 26 September 2025Tasted by: Prices:
Champagne Fleur de Miraval Petite Fleur Brut Rosé NV
Côte des Blancs, Champagne, FranceIf the Miraval name sounds familiar, you're correct. This is the relatively newly launched Champagne brand from Brad Pitt, well known for his Provence rosé line made in connection with Marc Perrin of the Rhône’s Famille Perrin estates. For Champagne, Pitt and Perrin joined with Champagne's Rodolphe Peters (Champagne Pierre Peters) to craft this bottling. From a 2019 base, this blends 95% chardonnay (including 30% chardonnay perpetual reserve) with 5% still pinot noir, all from the Côtes de Blancs. This was disgorged in 2023 with 4.5 g/L, and 20,000 bottles were produced. Pale peach in hue, this is a friendly rosé, thanks to the big chardy lead, with raspberry, candied cherry, and anise ruling the finish. The perpetual reserve certainly adds heft to the core, with caramelized baked apple and wet chalk notes, ultimately dumbing down the freshness and elegance overall. Try at the dinner table.Tasted: 11 April 2025Tasted by: Prices:
