Champagne Duval-Leroy Brut Réserve NV
Champagne, FranceChampagne Duval-Leroy was founded in 1859, with the alliance of the Duval and Leroy families, and has subsequently been passed down for six generations. Today, it is one of the last remaining independent, family-owned Champagne Houses, and their sustainably farmed 200 hectares are currently in the hands of brothers Julien, Charles, and Louis. This blend is approximately 15 crus, with 40% reserve wines, and a mix of Pinot Noir 60%, Pinot Meunier 30%, and Chardonnay 10%. It was fermented in stainless with full MLF, and spent 3-4 years sur lattes before a disgorge of 8 g/L. Pouring a deeper lemon hue, toasted brioche, red apple, white peach, and almond patisserie rolls along a creamy palate.
