Blasted Church Sauvignon Blanc Grown in Washington State 2024

Horse Heaven Hills, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesGrapes were sourced from Andrews Family Vineyards in Washington's Horse Heaven Hills AVA. After a 3 hour cold soak, this was pressed to tank and later fermented at the winery, some in neutral French oak and the rest in stainless. The different treatments sought to preserve the fresh, herbal character while integrating the tropical side. This begins with distinct lighter rounded notes of lemon, grapefruit, wet wool, and melon. All are confirmed on the taste, showing green melon, lemon oil, ripe ruby grapefruit, and a citrusy finish. The blended flavours shift seamlessly to the ending. If you are used to the New Zealand realm of sauvignon blanc, here is a less confrontational version featuring acidity that upholds the fruit without trying to grab the limelight.Tasted: 19 May 2025Tasted by: Prices:
