Yalumba Y Series Lighter Chardonnay 2024
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaYalumba did a great job with its unwooded chardonnay, and this 7% chardonnay is equally impressive on the nose and at the front of the palate. I could say it lacks mid-palate weight and mouthfeel, but at this level of alcohol, it has to be expected and probably is by those who drink it exactly because it is a light white. Clean and fresh with citrus, green apple, and mango, it is fresh and juicy and ready to drink if you want something for lunch. If you feel better drinking less alcohol, this is a good alternative. The finish is clean, dry, and well suited to seafood dishes or sushi rolls.
