Mendoza, ArgentinaExpect soft, brambly black fruit that takes you toward zinfandel. On the palate, the malbec rights itself with mulberry and a good dose of oak and mocha. The latitude and winemaking have preserved enough acidity to keep this wine fresh. This is simple stuff, but it does the job for an everyday red. It's best with burgers, empanadas, and beef tacos. There's no need to wait on this wine, as it is ready to drink.Tasted: 18 February 2025Tasted by: Prices:
Mendoza, ArgentinaFrom numerous vineyard sites, this was raised in oak, and that's pretty much all I could find about this 'Reserve' label. Bitter chocolate, dark cherry carry this softer, medium bodied wine through a clipped sarsaparilla finish, framed with sticky / pasty tannins. Very quite entry.Tasted: 08 March 2025Tasted by: Prices:
