Black Sage Gravel Bar, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Black Sage Bench's Gravel Bar, and its stony, mineral-rich soils, this Reserve Pinotage opens with a wall of reduction that eventually blows off to reveal perfumed cassis and damson plum over a deep bed of dark earth. Tannins are sinewy, and acidity is tart, finishing with some bittersweet dark chocolate and charcoal.
