Rall Wines Noa Chenin Blanc 2022
Voor Paardeberg, Paarl, Coastal Region, South AfricaDonovan Rall is a giant of a winemaker, literally (he's SO tall) and figuratively. From old vines planted in 1969 on the decomposed granite soils of Paardeberg, this chenin was native fermented in concrete before aging in concrete egg and old foudre. Quince, wild green herbs, pear skin, crystalline lemon stretches long on the waxen palate, dotted with flake salts, and lined with buzzy river stone minerality.
