Washington, United StatesI love what Orofino has done with their 2024 replacement wines, taking the opportunity to explore varieties that are new to their portfolio. Sourced from Washington's Ancient Lakes AVA, a cooler sub-AVA known for whites, this is a fresher, fruit-driven take on marsanne. It opens with bright lemon, white peach, and orchard blossoms, backed by a gentle savoury touch of beeswax. Light bodied and crisp, it’s already expressive but with a freshness that suggests it will gain further complexity in bottle over the next two to three years.
