Lunessence Albariño 2024
Columbia Valley, Oregon, United StatesLunessence, like so many other BC producers, had to look elsewhere for fruit in 2024. They replaced their local albariño with albariño from nearby Washington State, more specifically, Columbia Valley. It is surprisingly similar in style with perhaps a touch more tropical fruit. Peaches and citrus with a dusting of spice mark an easy sipping, food friendly style, albeit in a slightly richer version than last year. The finish is fresh with subtle minerality giving it some complexity. This was fermented in neutral French oak, and aged on its lees for four months in stainless steel tanks.Tasted: 28 March 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $32.99 | 750ml | winery direct, private wine shops, restaurants |
