Haywire Pink Bub 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA recent release reflecting Haywire's refreshed colourful labels, this 2018 Pink Bub has been patiently waiting some time, having been disgorged back in early 2022 (and with a fancy Diam cork now instead of the crown caps of early days). 2018 was 64% chardonnay and 36% pinot noir, from Summerland and Oliver vineyards. After a concrete ferment, this rested sur lattes for 30 months before disgorge, with 0 dosage, all the exact same as 2018 The Bub. The difference here is this was disgorged with pinot noir, hence the deep blush hue. Wild strawberries, early raspberries, crunchy red apple, and kisses of rhubarb marry easily with crisp lemon and light toast, all bedded with a fine deck of lees and driving acidity that carries this long on the finish. Super smart for solo sipping or food pairing.Tasted: 29 March 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
