Feudi di San Gregorio Pietra Calda 2022

Campania, ItalyFeudi di San Gregorio Pietra Calda is about the Fiano di Avellino grape grown on the lush, gentle volcanic sandstone and marl hills in Sorbo Serpico, about an hour from Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The vineyards' predominantly volcanic soil is responsible for the distinctive minerality in the wine preserved by a classic, cold stainless steel fermentation. The story is about the purity of fruit revealed in the Fiano grape that ages four to five months on its lees, with frequent bâtonnage adding texture and complexity. The floral nose evolves into a mix of guava, mineral, citrus, quince, and anise. You'll find flavours of green apple, mineral, lime, and nectarine on the palate, a combination reminiscent of pinot gris and riesling. Finally, the distinctive bottle with its elegant fluting is designed by famed Italian designer Massimo Vignelli.Tasted: 03 March 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
