Calchaqui Valley, Salta, North, ArgentinaThe label pays homage to the winery’s founder, Don David Michel, who has employed malbec vines for over 30 years. The fruit is all estate grown in the stunning Cafayate Valley, at 900 metres. The 2023 is a meaty, slightly reduced (screwcap) nose that blows off with a bit of swirling or a full splash decant. The palate is warm, pitching dense, rich black plum with a strong mineral undercurrent of freshness, and a streak of roasted tomato. You can enjoy this now and serve with rich dishes from pork to beef or venison.Tasted: 18 February 2025Tasted by: Prices:

Calchaqui Valley, Salta, North, ArgentinaFrom Calchaquí Valley, and 1800m altitude, this malbec was partially native fermented in stainless before moving into a mix of French and American oak (70%) and stainless for a year of rest. Earthy roasted root veg, cassis, and toast carry this fuller wine through a bitter chocolate finish. Tannins are sticky, and acidity is mountainous, which helps this stay fresh in the mouth, and ready for your grilled burgers.Tasted: 08 March 2025Tasted by: Prices:
