Weingut Heinrich Naked Rosé 2022
Burgenland, Weinland Österreich, AustriaBiodynamic Burgunland winemaker Heinrich is using blaufrankisch to make this unadorned (naked) rosé. Grown on limestone and schist, it spent a few hours on skins to impart the glowing peach hue. It was then native fermented in large old oak casks and amphora until it was bottled unfiltered and without SO2. Cranberry, mandarin, and tart crabapple flood the slight palate, gently rinsed with tea tannins and finishing with a tart rhubarb snap.
