Rall Grenache Blanc 2022
Olifants River, South AfricaDonovan Rall is a giant of a winemaker, literally (he's SO tall) and figuratively, and this rarity of ungifted bush vine grenache blanc from high in the Piekenierskloof shows his mastery. This was native fermented and rested in a mix of concrete egg and amphora for 10 months. 3627 bottles were produced. Waxy green melon and quince roll out across the tautly strung palate, with fresh green herbs and crushed stone seasoning lingering long on the stretched finish.
