Heinrich Naked White 2023
Burgenland, Weinland Österreich, AustriaNaked and unadorned, this is a natural biodynamic white blend that hides nothing. Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc lead, with supporting roles from Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling, sourced from vineyards on both sides of Burgenland’s Lake Neusidel, and rooted into limestone, schist, gravel soils. After an overnight on skins this was native fermented in old large oak casks where it rested before being bottled unfiltered with minimal sulphur. Crushed rocks, elderflower, pear skin skip along a slight, bright palate, finishing with a saline, white grapefruit twist.
