Frasca Barbera d'Asti 2020

Piedmont, ItalyNestled among the hills of Nizza Monferrato, Frasca consists of 22 hectares of vineyards. This Barbera comes from vines averaging 20 years, across Nizza Monferrato, Agliano Terme, and Moasca. After a couple weeks of maceration, this was fermented and rested in stainless. Fragrant crushed plums, wild blueberries, perfumed mulberries flood a juicy palate, with brisk, tart acidity easily lifting the 14%, and finely sticky tannins framing the stony core. The finish ends with a puff of warmth, and a signal to partner this with mushroom and / or duck ragu.Tasted: 17 February 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
