Clos Lentiscus Rosé Brut Nature 2020
Penedès, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainThis natural, biodynamically farmed reserve cava is equal parts coplanted and corfermented Ull de llebre (Tempranillo) and Carignan, with a splash of Sumoll for freshness, from in the mountainous vineyards of the Mazio del Garraf in Penedès. The base wine was native fermented in old oak with limited skin contact, before heading to second fermentation in bottle (kicked off by the fermenting 2018 vintage) and 20 months on lees. It was disgorged with zero dosage in the summer of 2024. Pouring a dusky pink brown hue, this teems with crushed cranberries, wild raspberry, rockrose, and scrubby herbs along a slight 11% palate, with a light pink peppercorn dusting on the finish.Tasted: 25 February 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:ON | $35.00 | 750ml | consignment |
