Sauternes, Graves, Bordeaux, FrancePouring a deep golden hue, this half bottle Sauternes opens with a pronounced, slightly lifted nose of mango, dried apricot, and honeyed yuzu layered with subtle vanillin and candied ginger. The palate is luscious and unctuous in sweetness, lifted by tangy, citrus driven acidity that keeps it bright. A hint of tea leaf and cinnamon spice lingers on the finish. A solid, approachable Sauternes.Tasted: 05 November 2025Tasted by: Prices:

Sauternes, Graves, Bordeaux, FranceOne of the oldest and most historic estates of the Sauternes region, the property located in the commune of Preignac was ennobled in 1565, by Charles IX in gratitude for a visit with his mother Catherine de Medici to this place. Jacques and Guillaume Perromat, 6th generation of winegrowers, now run the family estate. This is primarily sémillon, with smaller parts sauvignon blanc and muscadelle, selected for their prized botrytized (Noble Rot) bunches. This rests two years in barrel prior to release. Caramel apple, honeyed ripe pear, crème brûlée are woven through the heady palate, with the sweetness tempered by steady streaming acidity, finishing with a cool stoniness and lingering honeysuckle. One to have on hand to partner with tart tatin or stone fruit desserts.Tasted: 24 February 2025Tasted by: Prices:
