AustraliaHusband and wife duo Brendan and Laura Carter started Unico Zelo in 2012 to shine a light on the numerous Italian varieties planted in Oz, now shining in the face of climate change. This blend of nero d'avola and zibibbo comes from sites in Riverland and Adelaide Hills, and a mix of sandy limestone and quartz studded clays. Sunripened plum, baked wild blueberries, supple leather is lit with fragrant lavender across a slender, toothsome palate. Tannins are supple, and acidity lofted.
