The Prisoner Red Wine 2021
Napa Valley, California, United StatesThe Prisoner is the most recognized Napa Valley red blend, proving again that consumers love a name they can remember because we all know they can never recall that traditional producer / varietal label they enjoyed last night. The Prisoner takes no prisoners at 15.5% alcohol, but if you love big, rich, spicy, soft red wines that pack a punch, this is the one for you. The blend is a mix of zinfandel cabernet sauvignon, petite sirah, syrah, and charbono, supposedly inspired by the field blends planted last century by early Italian immigrants. Expect a rich, dark, super, ripe red with baked cherries, raisins, prunes, and figs and a long, warm, black fruit finish pitching blueberry and blackberry pie filling. It is best served with spicy sauced beef ribs.Tasted: 27 January 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $59.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
