The Prisoner Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 2021
Napa Valley, California, United StatesThis is easily the best of the Prisoner offerings, if only because they couldn’t suppress the character of Napa Valley. It also has a fine varietal character that runs through the finish that is as dry as it gets for this brand, whose labels are always on the sweet side. It’s a bit lighter than its southern cousins, has more red fruit, less spice, and a bit more finesse. You can serve this with food without worrying about a sugar clash on your plate. There is some cedar among the juicy finish, lending this wine some accolades for style. Again, price is an issue.Tasted: 27 January 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $73.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
