Sordo Barolo 2019
Barolo, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalySordo is now 4 generations deep in Barolo, established by Giuseppe Sordo at the beginning of the twentieth century. From vineyards across Barolo, between 300-400m in calcareous marls, this was destemmed and vinified in stainless before resting 24 months in large Slavonian oak. Fragrant crushed cherries, perfumed raspberries, crushed stones and pencil shavings swirl on the medium+ palate, framed with long, finely stencilled tannins, and easily lifted with cool acidity.
