Rodney Strong Symmetry Red Wine 2019
Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesSymmetry is shaped to capture the essence of Sonoma County. The blend varies yearly, but only the best lots make it to the bottle. In 2019,the mix is 48/23/13/8/8 Cooley Ranch, Brothers Vineyards, Rockaway, Alexander’s Crown, and Pine Flat. The grape mix is 80/8/7/3/2 cabernet sauvignon, merlot, malbec, petit verdot, cabernet franc. It happens that 2019 was another superb year in California, especially for cabernet. Plenty of late winter and early spring rains and heat waves help the grapes withstand altered heat spikes. Red fruits, led by plums, figs, and cherries, present a harmonious palate that reflects a lot of gentle work under the direction of Greg Morthole, who works at the RS small lot winemaking facility Artisan Cellar. Complex and refined, this is a beautifully blended red you can enjoy now or through 2030. Symmetry was launched as an Alexander Valley superblend back in 1996.Tasted: 17 January 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $79.99 | 750ml | One Time Buy if Approved |
