Lucien Ramabault Exception Sancerre 2023
Sancerre, Upper Loire, Loire, FranceI didn’t expect to find a Domaine Raimbault Sancerre in the Maui Costco, especially at US $17.99. Lucien Raimbault invested in Sancerre vineyards in 1946, although his family, 12 generations of them, preceded his arrival, farming the chalky soils of the eastern Loire for four centuries. Lucien is the 13th generation and is knocking it out of the park. If you are a fan of subtle sauvignon blanc, this is it, from its light golden colour to its crisp, refreshing hit of yellow apples, citrus, mineral and sea salt all in one. We enjoyed it with various cheeses, including the classic goat cheese and Hawaiian Poké.
