Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2022 season started late and cool before ending in a warm, dry fall instrumental in the rise in aromatics and concentration, rescuing the year for many growers, and adding weight and fruit to a fresh crop. The nose is filled with black plums and cherry compote, with a savoury mix of cinnamon and clove. The palate has a dark mix of black cherry, black team and earthy cedar. Drink now until 2027. Its richer style will pair nicely with tuna steak and grilled vegetables. This will also stand up to decadent dishes, like a cassoulet or duck confit.
