Chinon, Touraine, Loire, FranceThe R in Domaine de L'R signifies Rebirth, when Fred Sigonneau returned to his family's Chinon estate in 2007, 15 years after his father decided to stop making wines. This organic cab franc is rooted in the regions sandy gravels, and was aged 6 months in concrete before bottling. Lifted red currant, tart crunchy plum, scrubby rosemary is woven throughout this slighter, 12% wine, streaked with balsamic, and bedded with stones.
