Champagne Les Freres Mignon L'Aventure 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs NV

Côte des Blancs, Champagne, FranceBrothers Florent and Julien Mignon are part of a long history of vignerons on the Côtes des Blancs, previously selling their sustainably harvested grapes. The brothers (late 20s / early 30s) decided to make their own wine together in 2015, and started with this cuvée. L'Aventure is a BdB from Avize, Cramant, and Cuis, and massale selected vines around 50 years old. From the 2019 vintage, this was native fermented in stainless with no MLF, and went to bottle unfined and unfiltered, where it remained until April 2023 disgorge with 1.6 g/L. Already quite complete, with white peach, white pepper, and tight lemon shimmering along the svelte palate, finishing with lingering chalk dust. This has cut and energy without severity, and such an exciting first view of this young winery adventure.Tasted: 01 December 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
