Castello di Monsanto Chianti Classico 2020

Tuscany, ItalyWe had a range of styles of Chianti Classico on the tasting bench, but it doesn't get more classic than this. Dried cherry is intertwined with sandalwood, dried herbs, and lavender, with a purity of fruit that elevates this from the crowd. The palate is beautifully proportioned and structured, balancing firm grained tannins with elevated fruit concentration and integrated, crisp acidity that brings levity to the sapid finish. You can drink this now, but there's absolutely no rush. Recommended, and very good value.Tasted: 13 December 2024Tasted by: Prices:
