Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA hot summer and a cool fall are keys to ripening Okanagan’s warmest vineyard site, and 2021 was challenging with its heat dome and wildfires. This is a hedonistic style of merlot at the best of times, and this year, it has an added candied cherry profile, no doubt, because of the extreme midsummer heat. Still, it has a plush and round style that will appeal to many, and is ready to drink.
