Silver Palm Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
California, United StatesAt 13.5% alcohol, this cabernet eschews the sweet fruit route for something more savoury. It is a wine to look for. Its balance is its drawing card. It opens with an earthy, wet forest floor that leads into cassis and black cherry permeated by a touch of oak. The purity of its mostly Mendocino fruit keeps it on track, while the Sonoma and Napa fruit fattened the palate to perfection. It's hard not to like the drinkability of this wine, and its goal is to be what it should be for the price. A solid restaurant wine.Tasted: 28 November 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $28.59 | 750ml | speculative listing - Summit Fine Wines |
