Quails' Gate Field and Flight Chardonnay 2023

United StatesThe owners of Quail’s Gate also own and operate a winery in California, which allowed them to get ahead of the game early on. This label was put together over the late summer and bottled in the fall after working with many chardonnay samples for California. The wine has decided on a BC bent as in a fresher, more interesting attack than many California introductory Chardonnay labels, no doubt a result of their extensive chardonnay prowess in West Kelowna. It is a definite step up from their US pinot gris offering. Look for fresh lemon and a clean palate with a leesy and creamy finish. Ready to drink, this is no muss no fuss chardonnay at a fair price. To be transparent the Quails’ Gate Field and Flight Chardonnay is NOT from BC, but you have to go to the back label to discover that the fruit was farmed in California.Tasted: 08 November 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
