Abruzzo, ItalyAs the name implies, this is a skin contact pinot grigio, from Abruzzo. Fermented and raised in stainless, after an undetermined time on skins (just a short time, based on the very pale peach hue), this opens with gentle spices and subtle texture that lasts the length of the medium bodied wine. Pear, melon, and tangerine rule the palate, lined with a well placed lees bed, and finishing with a saline twist.
