San Luis Obispo County, Central Coast, California, United StatesMFN is a full bodied American chardonnay grown at San Luis Obispo. The nose is a wash of baked apples, poached pears, and pastry aromas, and the palate is more of the same. It's not an overt style, and there is some acidity to counter the richness. Still, the style is reminiscent of the 1990s California chardonnay, unlike the more electric version we see here in Canada or Australia. It is ready to drink, and it slides down easily.
