Champagne Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2011

Champagne, FranceComtes Rosé is a rare beauty, made only in exceptional years, and representing power x grace. In 2011 only 15000 bottles were produced. This uses GC chardonnay from Côtes des Blancs with 15% red wine from Bouzy. Once in bottle this spent 10 years sur lattes before disgorge in 2022. Deeper in hue, this smoulders with burnished cherry, savoury strawberry, blood orange peel, smoked stones, and toasted bread. The structural, focused palate is scented with dried herbs, and finishes with lingering flake salts.Tasted: 28 November 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
