Champagne Domaine Nowack Assemblage S.A. Autre Cru NV
Vallée de la Marne, Champagne, FranceFlavien Nowack is the current generation Champenois making wine, one in a long line of grower / producers in Vallée de la Marne's Vandières making wine since 1795. Since taking over in 2011, he moved to single parcel and single village wines, converting al the vineyards to biodynamics. Sans Annee (S.A) is Flavien’s NV Champagne, from estate fruit and blending 60% Meunier 40% Chardonnay, based on the 2019 vintage, with reserve wines from 2012 - 2018. This was disgorged in 2022. Wild cherry, fragrant raspberry blossoms, brioche, and lemon peel are woven throughout this textural wine, finishing with a slick of anise. Though quite toothsome, there is a lemon peel brace pinning all in, and guiding through the finish.
