Cambria Pinot Noir Julia's Vineyard 2021

Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County, Central Coast, California, United StatesThe vineyard known as Julia's Vineyard was renamed at the 20 year mark in 1988 after Julia Jackson, daughter of Jesse Jackson and Barbara Banke. Julia's Vineyard is a prime piece of land on the Santa Maria Bench that has consistently produced polished pinot noir rich in texture and dark berry fruit. A hedonistic style, if you like, but with a serious underside, hankering to a mix of clones, counting 4, 667, 23, 2A, and 115. At this time of year, cool cellar temperatures or a stay in the refrigerator allow this pinot to shine. The site is home to Santa Barbara's oldest pinot vines, first planted between 1970 and 1971 as part of the original Tepusquet Vineyard.Tasted: 28 November 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
