But there is Langhe Nebbiolo, and then there is Langhe Nebbiolo. Belle Colle stands out among its peers, offering Barolo-like qualities with aromas of violet, rose, and ripe black cherry. Soft, fresh, and dry on the palate, it features plum and raspberry, along with light tannins that are not overly dry. This approachable red from a tough year in Piemonte is enjoyable now and worth a closer look.
