Tread Softly Grenache 2023

South Australia, AustraliaThis South Australian grenache wasn't kidding with its Tread Softly moniker, clocking in at a bizarre 10.8%. The brand is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint with sustainable vineyard and winery practices. For every case of Tread Softly sold, the brand commits to planting an Australian native tree. To date, more than 1.5 million trees have reportedly been planted. This comes from mostly dry farmed vineyards bordering Victoria and South Australia, with an early, cooler harvest and destemming, cool ferment, and brief rest in stainless before an early release to market. Gently smoked strawberry, early raspberry, is scented with gum trees, brightened with rhubarb, and tweaked with tart cranberry. Tannins are soft and near negligible, with only a pronounced saltiness (?) to add definition and texture. Try with a chill, a daylight patio, and a summer charcuterie board.Tasted: 04 October 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
