Three Sisters Winery Tempranillo 2022
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is a fresh, red-fruited expression of tempranillo that shows a cooler side of the variety. It's easy to intuitively think tempranillo is best suited to warm(er) climates. We are talking about Spain's most widely planted grape variety, after all. But it's early ripening, and seems to thrive in the more moderate climates of the Okanagan, like the Naramata Bench, in this case. It offers a pure, elegant nose of strawberry and red plum, lifted by anise and rose petals, with well-integrated oak. It's another standout from the 2022 vintage for Three Sisters, and certainly worth a try at this price.
