Spearhead Pinot Noir Cuvée 2022

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Cuvée combines pinot noir grapes selected from Summerland and East Kelowna, blending several Dijon clones: 667, 115, 828, 777, and Pommard. The final mix comes from a barrel selection aged 13 months in 40% new French oak. Grant Stanley always brings refined intensity to the mix but never goes over the top, with this batch settling in at only 13.5% alcohol. It is full of baked black cherry on the nose, with notes of freshly turned earth, dried spices, and sweet brown sugar. The palate features more cranberry and pomegranate and additional spice in the finish. A busy, quality pinot. It is rich enough to pair with grilled lamb chops or a simple piece of rich, creamy cheese. Drink or hold.Tasted: 04 October 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
