Red Barn Stand Apart Sangiovese 2022
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2022 sangiovese is organically farmed and aged in concrete, which has played a role in its slick demeanour. The nose is an inviting black cherry affair with a touch of desert sagebrush. The attack is warm and round with a linear spicy note and a rush of dense sweet tannins. Again, I see another face of Jagged Rock, perhaps one of the most remarkable vineyards in the Okanagan.
