Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRed Barn has a Stand Apart Series, exclusively available to its club members. The limited collection features small batch wines handpicked by winemaker Kaylee Barss, whose goal is a unique and experimental experience with every sip. Calling it pinot bianco takes us to northern Italy, where the best examples offer a fresh, bright, modern style. The Red Barn version mixes that with some Jagged Rock Magic. The magic is a delicate, cooler, fresher style than you might expect, with ripe pears, citrus, and candied orange blossom along the way. It smells sweeter than it tastes, suggesting shellfish as the match.
