Moraine Pinot Noir Sophia Vineyard 2022

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Moraine Sophia Vineyard Pinot Noir comes off the home estate on the Naramata Bench. The clone 777 Pinot Noir is hand harvested and fermented whole berry. The result is a silky soft texture that sets the stage for pinot to display its full charm. Look for a rich cherry nose with the subtlest hint of toasted oak. The palate is similar in cherry and red berry that run through a perfectly balanced wine with just enough tannin to offset the acidity, so all slides down effortlessly. It is pretty tasty now but will only improve in the bottle over the next three to five years. The classic match is duck confit, but salmon or pork would also be exciting matches.Tasted: 04 October 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
