Freeman Ryo-Fu Chardonnay 2021

Russian River, Sonoma County, California, United StatesRyo-fu is Japanese for cool breeze, a fitting name for this Russian River Valley Chardonnay shaped by the cooling winds sweeping in from the Pacific. This fruit comes from the Heintz Ranch and Dutton Ranch vineyards. Ripe and expansive on the palate, this is lit from beneath with shimmery stones propping up marzipan, white peach, grapefruit pith, and subtle toast. There's a welcome freshness and brightness courtesy of the RRV, though a touch too much flesh to make it as riveting as it could be.Tasted: 16 October 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
