Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaEn Terre is a new project at Terravista Vineyards, meant to expand its offerings beyond the highly successful original portfolio. First up is a traditional method sparkler, a 69/31 blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, from Naramata's En Terre Vineyard and Kaleden’s Ercego Vineyard. The juice was fermented and given a 90 day rest before going to bottle for 16 months ageing on its lees. It was disgorged in May 2024 with zero dosage. The result is a well made inaugural bubble release. Its refined effervescence leads to an inviting early morning bakery with citrus and apple throughout a creamy, round bubble. This traditional method fizz blends 69% pinot noir and 31% chardonnay, from En Terre Vineyard in Naramata plus Kaleden's Ercego Vineyard. The juice was fermented and rested for three months before heading to bottle and 16 months in triage. This was disgorged May 2024 with zero dosage. Brisk and brusque with crunchy apple, pear blossom, and cider notes, with assertive bubbles finishing with a snap.
