Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe PC Cuvée comes off Kobau Vineyard, located along the west side of the Okanagan Valley’s Golden Mile Bench. The vineyard faces mostly south, catching the gentle morning sun, and is in the shadows of the most profound afternoon heat. Look for an attractive mix of savoury black fruit with a dusting of desert sagebrush, spice, and the wealth of French oak. Rich, warm, and opulent, the palate is awash in brambleberries, dark plums, cedar, and vestiges of new oak, all with a touch of freshness by dodging the late-day sun. The cabernet plays the role of building a structure that supports the tannin and rich fruit. There is no rush to drink this wine through 2028.
