La Soeur Cadette Bourgogne Rouge 2022

Burgundy, FranceValentin Montaney is based in western Bourgogne’s Vézelay, where he is caretaker of his parents’ 22ha of organically farmed vineyards. In 2016, Valentin began a négociant business, creating the La Soeur Cadette range. This Bourgogne Rouge comes from 60 year old vines on the Côte d'Or, in clay and limestone soils. It was aged for 8 months in 225L barrels. Fragrant wild raspberry, bright cherry, roiboos tea streams across the finessed palate, with long, fine tannins hugging this through the peppery end. A joy to drink.Tasted: 11 September 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
