Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe moderate 2022 vintage has translated to a beautifully proportioned Talus, with a combination of rich, dark fruit supported by excellent freshness. A Similkameen blend of 41% merlot, 35% cabernet sauvignon, 21% cabernet franc, 2% malbec, and 1% petit verdot, this shows plush blackberry, dark plum, and black currant, balanced by a ripe, sappy, herbal edge and toasted oak spice. It's densely concentrated, with weighty fruit and fine grained tannins that easily support aging for 10+ years. This vintage wine has taken a real leap.
