Blue Mountain Reserve Cuvée Chardonnay 2022
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2022 Reserve Cuvée is a stunning chardonnay, wild fermented and aged for 16 months in French barriques to give honeyed peach, lemon curd, and oatmeal, lifted by fragrant white blossoms. The oak spice, from a combination of new, second, and third fill wood, is harmoniously integrated and will further meld into the background with additional time in the bottle. The wine is richly concentrated and textured, with crisp acidity to balance the weighty, rounded fruit. This was aged for six months in bottle before release, but it's still youthful and tightly wound, and the best is still yet to come over the next 3-5 years.
