Gattinara, Piedmont, ItalyAlways a blend of several vineyard sites, this nebbiolo is perhaps best described as a ready to drink Barolo. In 2019, a vintage to remember in Piedmont, this label is supercharged. The nose entices with red berries, pepper, floral, and wet stone, but the midpalate’s fitness and charm deliver the added dimension. The textures are soft and round, the acidity excellent, and the finish complex and finesed while streaked with garam masala, smoke, and minerals.
